R. Robert Hentzel is the President, CTO, and Chief Editor of NAQT. He is an alumnus of Iowa State University; his playing career also includes a number of appearances in west coast tournaments, playing on masters teams. At some point in his extensive career he seems to have won a tournament playing solo. He also won the 2006 Carper Award and the 2010 Benjamin Cooper Academic Ambassador Award.
