In the 2011-2012 season, the team of Holub-Moorman, Kim, Lin, and Reed has so far placed second at Tar Heel Cup, Quaker Bowl, Enloe Invitational, and the Duke Academic Fall Tournament.

In the 2010-2011 season, the A team placed 4th at the Duke Invitational Meet, 3rd at Raleigh Charter's Right Triangle Open, and won WCHL 1360AM's Community Quiz Bowl challenge against Carrboro and Chapel Hill High Schools.

Notable ex-players include Alex Loyal, art history and physics specialist, Alex Mariakakis, Music (especially jazz) specialist, generalist Josh Loyal, History and Politics specialist Ezra Dunkle Polier, military history expert Jun Hong, and mythology guru, all-around player, and member of the 2009 North Carolina All-Star Quiz Bowl Team Arthur Kim.
