Morgan Venkus is a former player for Loyola Academy who briefly played for Chicago. During the 2012-2013 school year, he "transformed from a really good Quizbowl player to one of the best in the nation" according to Harry White [1]. At the 2013 HSNCT, he played solo during the prelims, was the #3 overall prelim scorer, and qualified his team for the playoffs (his teammates joined him on Sunday, leading to their team placing third and becoming the best 6-4 team in HSNCT history and the highest placing Illinois team to date). He is notable for making a large leap in ability due to his near-unhealthy amounts of spite and for being late to things.
