It was first held in November, 1997, making it the longest-running, extant community college tournament. Intended primarily as an introduction to quizbowl for community colleges in the Florida region, and of a difficulty to be used as such, it has been used outside Florida for high school tournaments such as Penn's 2008 QuAC [1], and restricted-eligibility collegiate novice tournaments [2].
