Smith Middle School is a 6-8 middle school in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. It is currently coached by Bratton Holmes. Smith was 2nd place at the 2015 NCASA Middle School State Championship, won the 2016 iteration of the state championship, and came in 3rd at the 2017 state championship, losing to eventual champion Metrolina by 10 points in the semifinals. Smith has participated at the MSNCT since 2013. Smith finished tied for 21st at the 2016 MSNCT and tied for 5th at the 2017 MSNCT.
