Midtown Classical is a homeschool collective in Tallahassee, Florida. It is currently coached by Kevin Cox. Midtown Classical participated at the 2015 MSNCT, tied for 13th at the 2016 MSNCT, and tied for 8th at the 2017 MSNCT.
In 2015, Midtown Classical sent a team entirely composed of 5th-graders to the MSNCT, where they finished 74th. The next year, the same team ended the preliminary rounds with a 6-2 record, and went on to finish 9-4 and tied for 13th not long after a loss to the eventual tournament champions Middlesex A (captained by 8th-grader John Phipps). In 2017, after a season that included being selected as NAQT's Middle School Team of the Week after a 572 PPG tournament, Midtown started 5-0 at MSNCT, but ended the preliminaries with a 6-2 record, losing to Miami Valley (captained by 2017 MS Player of the Year William Groger) and Smith, from Michigan. After two early playoff scares (and a loss to rival Team Pi-oneers), Midtown finished at 10-4 and tied for 8th when they lost to the eventual runner-up, Mounds Park.
