Beavercreek defeated University of Illinois Lab 415 - 250, claiming their first national NAQT title.
In both the preliminary standings and overall standings, the top three individual scorers were Hari Parameswaran from Beavercreek (3rd in prelims, 1st overall), Ethan Strombeck from Rockford Auburn (1st in prelims, 2nd overall) and William Golden from James E. Taylor (2nd in prelims, 3rd overall).
Geoffrey Chen, a science specialist from Wayzata, had one of the most impressive power percentages in HSNCT history, going 46/10/12 over 13.0 games.
