The Scholastic Community Outreach Program (SCOP, pronounced "scope") is an Illinois-based organization founded by Kristin Strey in 2009. SCOP's mission is to help Illinois teams connect with quizbowl resources. SCOP usually produces a yearly novice set and a middle school set, both of which are usually very accessible for new teams to play on. SCOP has also developed a series of study sheets designed to help new-to-quizbowl players learn the quizbowl canon.
