Zaid Siddiqui is a former player for Detroit Country Day. As a member of the 2021 team, Zaid was a forebear of the DCDS quiz bowl golden age. During his high school career, he inspired both his teammates and the younger DCDS generation to invest time into quiz bowl. Zaid was also one of the main contributors to DART I, the first edition of Detroit Country Day's annual charity housewrite. At the 2021 HSNCT, Zaid and his team defeated Thomas Jefferson (VA) to place 3rd. Zaid and the DCDS team also finished 2nd at the 2021 ONCT.
