Springfield High School is a public high school located in the capital of Illinois. The team competes in Class 2A for all IHSA Scholastic Bowl affiliated activities. They belong to the Central State 8 Conference, in which they hold the most championship titles.

Often considered one of the greatest in downstate Illinois, they have consistently been among the top fifteen teams in the state. They host the Barron Robinson Memorial Invitational. They stood 3rd at the 2007 Masonic State Tournament, 4th at the 2008 IHSA State Championship Tournament, 2nd at the 2022 IHSA State Championship Tournament, and have played at the HSNCT multiple times, where they made playoffs twice (2012 and 2013).

Springfield's greatest players are Jackson Myers (class of 2014), Aidan Fein (class of 2020), and Jack Casey (class of 2022).
