The Byron High School (Byron, IL) Scholastic Bowl team is among the most successful in IHSA history, having qualified for the State Finals seven times (twice in combined field, five times in Class A), winning the Class A State Championship in 2000 and placing second in 2008. In addition, they have been a perennially strong team in the Northern Illinois region under coaches Carol Nauman, Donna Pinson, and 2010 IHSSBCA Hall of Fame Inductee Larry Schnorr.
