The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is a private university in Cambridge, MA. After a brief period of quizbowl success in the late 2000s (earning 2nd at ACF Regionals 2008 and 8th at the 2008 ACF Nationals), the club has attended far fewer tournaments in recent years.

Tournaments

In the past, MIT has hosted Beaver Bonspiel (which in 2008 was a mirror of Stanford's Cardinal Classic), and an annual IS set high school tournament, the Beaver Academic Tournament. They also hosted ACF Fall 2007 to critical acclaim.

Apparently, the 2008 CBI RCT for the Northeast ("Region 1") was hosted at MIT, though this happened without the club's knowledge. Noted Rhode Island powerhouse Providence College finished first.
