Matt Morrison played for several years on Maggie Walker C and B, then established the first version of the William & Mary team in fall 2006 and remained the leader of that program through the conclusion of getting his undergraduate and masters' degrees there in spring 2012, though he essentially retired as a player after his freshman year. He TDed several high school and college tournaments at W&M in that time. He now works as a historical re-enactor in Colonial Williamsburg.

Music Career

Matt released a single rap album, curiously titled Resurrection, under the name MC Post Mortem. In what is perhaps a unique achievement among quizbowl players, he missed his junior year of high school quizbowl after circulating a non-album single that contained perceived threats of violence against several of his classmates and being suspended from extracurricular activities for a year as part of the resulting school sanctions.

Matt attempted to read the finals of 2011 ACF Regionals at W&M in front of a wall of speakers blasting the song "The Final Countdown" before being talked out of this around tossup 3.

Tron

While reading at the 2009 ACF Winter tournament at JSR CC, Morrison asked a room full of players, apropos to nothing, "Hey, y'all seen Tron?", in reference to the 1982 film. This inspired several years of Tricon categories.
