Hayfield Secondary School is located in Alexandria in northern Virginia and is coached by Levi Brown. Hayfield, as a secondary school, includes both a high school and a middle school, but only the high school is active in quizbowl. Hayfield is active in both VHSL and It's Academic.
In VHSL, Hayfield was part of the VHSL Northern Region until the 2014 VHSL Realignment. After the 2014 realignment, Hayfield became part of VHSL Region 6A North. Starting with the 2017-18 season, Hayfield will be part of VHSL Class 6 Region C as a result of the 2018 VHSL Realignment.
Hayfield placed second at the Northern Region tournament in 2002 and 2007.
Hayfield attended the 2004 inaugural Cavalier Open, the 2006 TJIAT, and the 2007 Ben Cooper Memorial Tournament.
