2001 Edmond Memorial

The 2001 Edmond Memorial High School team began the year with several of its players reaching "Room 1" at ACE Quiz Bowl Camp and achieving subject category honors. The school year began with a first place finish at the Rose State Social Studies Bowl in Oklahoma City. Two days later, the team's captain Scott Smith suffered a ruptured appendix and missed half of the remaining year due to complications. The loss of their captain did not stop the team from winning first place at the Vanderbilt Academic Bowl Competition.

The team was again at full strength for NAQT Nationals at which it placed 9th and ASCN Nationals at which it place 10th.

The 2001 Edmond Memorial High School Varsity team members included co-captains Scott Smith and Tyler Bond, Stephanie Craig, Jessica Moore, and Colin Brown.
