Hunter Wotruba is a 2017 graduate of William V. Fisher Catholic High School who attended Miami University. He is the younger brother of Coert Wotruba, who played on the 2004 Fisher Catholic team that won the OAC State Title.

A two-time selection to Team Ohio's squad attending NASAT, Hunter is undoubtedly one of the greatest players in Fisher history. With a penchant for the arts and a good base of history, Hunter immediately made impacts for the Fisher Catholic program as soon as his freshman year at HSNCT. With the completion of his sophomore year came the conclusion of the fabled Moore-Shull era that spanned five years of Fisher quizbowl, as such it was up to Hunter to keep the winning tradition alive for the Irish. After the narrow playoffs miss at the 2016 iteration of HSNCT, Hunter turned in a remarkable senior season that included a second-place finish at OAC States and the scoring title at the 2017 NAQT State tournament. At the 2017 HSNCT, it was the Wotruba-led Irish that posted an 8-5 record that included wins over IMSA, Rockford Auburn, and James Clemens.

Despite the fact Hunter was a letterman in both cross-country and tennis, his sports IQ was not as high as his Dali IQ and Strauss IQ. Despite the fact he is tall, he is more inclined to throw down slam dunks on Futurism tossups than he is a roundball.
