Brian's quizbowl accomplishments include being a member of PACE (2000-2002 and 2007-2009).

He is also a member of the OAC board (2007-present).

He played on some lower-side-of-average teams for Bowling Green around the turn of the century. After a few years in the real world, he resurfaced for Cleveland State at a few tournaments in 2008. He started his Ph.D. in Human Resources at The Ohio State University in the fall of 2008, where he played a limited schedule. He's somewhat helpful up to about Regionals difficulty and obtains most of his points via fraud. After seeing that there aren't many points to be obtained via fraud and poorly written questions anymore, he decided to retire from academic quizbowl. He has seen format wars in quizbowl for 11 years now and is confident that they will never cease.
