The team finished third at the 2004 HSNCT. The team consisted of Alexander Akhter, Andrew Brantley, Matt Dunn, Paul Barndt, and Ranjan Ramchandani.

The team finished 8-2 in the preliminary rounds, picking up wins over Irmo, Russellville, State College, Dunbar, and Thomas Jefferson "B". Their losses were to eventual champion Thomas Jefferson A and Dorman.

In the playoffs, St. john's defeated Irmo (445-50), Plano East (490-110), and Solon (365-230), before losing to Maggie Walker in the fourth round, 350-425.

In the sixth round of the consolation bracket, St. John's narrowly defeated Detroit Catholic Central, 220-210. In the seventh round, St. John's lost to Maggie Walker again, 305-350.
