For the collegiate team, see Johns Hopkins.

William Hopkins Junior High School is a school in Fremont, California and is currently coached by Prasanna Krishna. They attended the 2017 and 2019 MSNCT, where they tied for 5th and won 3rd respectively. Hopkins player Pareekshith Krishna was the 2019 MSNCT's 2nd highest scorer after Arin Parsa.

After being dismantled in 2012, the team was recreated by Avinash Iyer and his teammates, who were only experienced in History Bowl. However, playing mostly IS-A and IS packets helped them garner more real knowledge, which provided them the information required to ace the 2017 MSNCT and tie for 5th. However, after their graduation, the team shut down for a year, until Pareekshith Krishna restarted the club in 2019.

Along with some new first-year recruits, he was able to create a powerful team that could support him even in IS level packets, which was necessary due to NAQT's harder playoff question content. During the 2019 MSNCT, Hopkins went 7-1, losing to 4th place team Liberty in the 1st round. The team survived a scare against Harker and defeated other teams such as Longfellow A and Cooper, until they ended up playing Liberty again. This time, they won and secured a spot in a 3-way final, until they were ultimately defeated by MSNCT champs Hunter.

Notes

Former Hopkins player Pareekshith Krishna has a friendly rivalry with Arin Parsa from Challenger-Almaden, Siddharth Kammanavar from Stratford-Sunnyvale, and the Churchill A team. Hopkins is a feeder school into Mission San Jose High, which is where Pareekshith and other Hopkins players will play with Avinash Iyer and others who were formerly in Hopkins.
