DART
DART (Detroit Country Day Academic Regular Tournament) is a series of high-school housewrites produced by the Detroit Country Day School.
DART I
The first DART was mirrored starting in January 2021. It was head-edited by Christopher Gilmer-Hill, and written by the DCDS team with help from subject editors Jon Suh, Sarod Nori, Jakob Myers, John John Groger and Jason Golfinos. The target difficulty was high-school regular, which it was perceived to have overshot somewhat. Compared to other mACF sets, the distribution featured more geography, current events and trash, and less religion and mythology – a sort of middle ground between the ACF and NAQT distributions.
DART II
The second iteration of the set was first mirrored in September 2021. Head-edited by Christopher Gilmer-Hill and Arthur Gayden, it was produced in collaboration with Troy High School, as well as a pool of guest writers recruited through an open application process. Subject editors were Steven Liu, Eric Yin, Arjun Nageswaran, Zaid Siddiqui, Dylan Bowman, Adam Sun, Sarod Nori, Daniel Ma, Jon Suh and Jason Golfinos. Unlike the previous year's set, DART II was meant to be regular-plus difficulty. It kept mostly the same distribution, again with increased geo, CE and trash, and less religion and myth.
