Richard Mason played for Yale University, during which time he was the consistent high scorer for the team. He is a solid generalist with depth in RMP and history. A native Kentuckian, he played the 2011 SCT with Northern Kentucky University, where he enrolled in a post-bacc medical program, and won 2011 Chicago Open with Matt Weiner, Dallas Simons, and Kevin Koai.
