Brad Fischer is a "currently active" collegiate player from Illinois.
High School Career
Fisher is considered by many to be among the best high school players of his era, and among the very best players to emerge from any smaller school in Illinois history. As a junior at Winnebago High School in Illinois, he led his team to a tournament victory at the Winnebago Invitational, a Big Northern Conference Championship, and a Regional title. His senior year featured Winnebago's first attendance at noted tournaments such as UIUC Earlybird, Loyola Ultima, and the inaugural New Trier Varsity. During his senior year, Brad was the top scorer at every tournament that Winnebago attended that named an All-Tournament team. Winnebago also won its third consecutive Varsity Conference championship and won the school's first berth in the State Finals in five years. Fischer led his team to a third place finish, stopped by The Latin School in randomly assigned pool play, which prevented the best two teams in the state from facing each other in the final match. In both his junior and senior years, Fischer was named First Team All-State.

College Career
Rock Valley College
Brad started his college career at Rock Valley College, attempting to start a team at the community college. The team traveled to one tournament (Elvis at Wisconsin) and hosted one high school tournament (The Decemberist) during Brad's time there. The Decemberist has since continued to exist, although the club no longer does.
Northern Illinois University
Along with Kristin Strey, Brad is in the process of starting a quiz bowl club at Northern Illinois University. Brad and Kristin shook off a couple years of rust and attended the UIUC mirror of the third annual EFT, finishing in the bottom bracket. Brad and Kristin also hosted the 2009 reincarnation of the Huskie Bowl at Northern Illinois.
