Stuyvesant High School is a public magnet school in New York City.
History
The Stuyvesant High School Quiz Bowl team was founded in the spring of 2005 by a pair of sophomores named Victor Wong and Connie Tao. Since its inception, the team has had multiple appearances at the HSNCT and the PACE NSC. Stuyvesant is considered, along with its frequently sparring rival, Hunter College High School, among the best teams in NY.
Nationals
Stuyvesant tied for 21st at the 2007 HSNCT. At the 2007 NSC Stuyvesant defeated eventual champions Maggie Walker in a playoff game, resulting in a three-way tie in one of the brackets and Stuyvensant finishing 5th overall in the tournament.
