Matthew Riggle is a quizbowl player at Western Kentucky. He currently serves as the 3rd and current president of the WKU Academic Competition Club.

In high school, Riggle played for Pope John Paul II (AL) from 2008-2012, where he encouraged the team to become more active in pyramidal quizbowl. During his time at JPII, Riggle finished as the leading scorer at several invitational tournaments in the state of Alabama, and led the team to three consecutive appearances at HSNCT (2010, 2011, 2012), though the team failed to make the playoffs in all three years. Riggle finished 15th in individual scoring at the 2012 HSNCT and thereby was named an all-star at the tournament.

Riggle's college career has seen Western Kentucky achieve some of the program's greatest successes, including the team's first ever ICT appearance (2013, Division II). A car accident prevented Riggle from playing for the WKU team at the 2014 Mideast SCT, but that team finished in a tie for second and thereby qualified for Division I ICT. However, Riggle teamed up with Alex Malone and Ella Shipp to lead a WKU team to first place in the Division II and undergraduate divisions of the 2014 ACF Regionals South tournament, and third place overall.
