Dead

Within a game, a dead tossup is a tossup that is not answered correctly by either team. A tossup is said to "go dead" when the time limit on answering the question expires and/or the second team with a chance at the question gives their incorrect answer. A question set is probably overly difficult, and has lower conversion statistics, if it regularly features multiple dead tossups per game when played by its target audience.
