Format

Format is a term with multiple meanings in quizbowl discussion. It can refer to:

• Game format, namely, the style and arrangement of question types and question styles within the packets of a tournament. Examples include Tossup-bonus format, four-quarter format, VHSL format, and old PACE format.

• Question format - the style of question used (NAQT-format vs. ACF-format, etc.)

• Tournament format, a.k.a. the schedule or schedule template used at a tournament

• Formatting, or the proper style and arrangement of text within a quizbowl packet according to guidelines
