Itawamba Agricultural High School is a 9-12 high school in Fulton, MS that has a long history of competing in quizbowl competitions around the state of Mississippi and the Southeast more generally.
Competitions
Despite being relatively isolated from good quizbowl geographically, Itawamba is an extremely active competitor and host, thanks largely to the initiative of their coach Chris Johnson. They often participate in the Ole Miss Brain Brawl and the Murrah Mustang Invitational as well as the Mississippi State Invitational and tournaments around the Southeast as a whole.
Nationals Appearances
Itawamba has attended the 2014 HSNCT, 2015 HSNCT, 2015 SSNCT, 2016 SSNCT, 2017 SSNCT, 2017 HSNCT, and 2018 SSNCT. At the 2015 SSNCT, Itawamba achieved its highest national finish at 7th out of 60 teams.
Hosting
Itawamba hosts the Itawamba Invitational as well as the revived NAQT Mississippi State Championship and several other tournaments during the year.
