Luke Tierney was a Chicago player who was on the Hunter team that won the 2016 and 2017 HSNCT. He is controversial in the quizbowl community for his far-right political opinions, wearing a Rhodesia t-shirt to a tournament,[1] and disparaging behavior towards female teammates,[2] among other things.
In high school, he played for Hunter and was club president. He was named a member of the Second Team for the 2016 HSQBRank All-World Teams and of the first team for the 2017 teams. In college, he was on the Chicago C team, which won Division 2 of the 2018 ICT.
