Career

High school

After playing his first non-VHSL quiz bowl tournament in the spring of his junior year of high school, Mark tied for 5th place at 2019 IPNCT, led his team to a 37th-place finish with 103.23 PPG at 2019 NSC, and was the second-highest scorer on Virginia's 7th-place A team at 2019 NASAT.

College

Mark has played for Virginia since arriving in fall 2019 and has been on the A team since fall 2020. He co-directed the 2020 Cavalier Classic XXIII, the FLOpen 2020 Mid-Atlantic Mirror, and the 2021 Virginia Spring Tournament with David Bass.

Mark has a propensity to react to high quantities of Discord messages during online tournaments. His favorite reactions include :fork_and_knife: and :snail:, among others.
