Tim Cho is a player for Columbia University and an alumnus of University of Illinois Lab. He was the captain of the 2018-19 Uni A Team which won the 2019 IHSA State Finals, placed second at the 2019 HSNCT and third at the 2019 PACE. During the 2018-19 season, he was one of the strongest history players and generalists in Illinois and played in the 2019 National History Bee under the pseudonym "Team Snake Farm", which Uni has frequently used in past NHBB tournaments. He was a member of the Illinois All-State First Team in 2018 and 2019, and played for Team Illinois at the 2019 NASAT.

Tim is well known for his appearance on the 2018 Jeopardy! Teen Tournament in Culver City, California. After winning the quarterfinal game, he was eliminated in the semifinals by eventual champion Claire Sattler by just one dollar. Sattler had incorrectly answered a question about the meaning of the acronym "RPM" as "rotations per minute" rather than the correct meaning, "revolutions per minute". However, the judges accepted her answer as correct which gave her just enough money to edge out Tim.
