Ward Melville

Ward Melville High School is located in East Setauket, NY and has a school size of about 3000. The team currently compete at 2 live tournaments annually, in addition to being members in the Regional Quiz Bowl Central Suffolk division and competing in the Great Auk's Knowledge Master Open.

So far this year, the team has also branched out and competed in the Yale Fall Academic Tournament, placing 7th out of 14 teams. At the Long Island Fall Tournament (LIFT) Ward Melville placed 20th in the preliminaries and tied for 17th through the playoffs (lost first round match, but won consolation matchup). At the Hills West Invitational, all three of Ward Melville's teams made the playoffs with one team advancing to the round of 16. Strangely enough, they were seeded, 26(C), 27(A), and 28(B), which shows all around school strength, but no powerhouse teams.
