HHHW Invitational
The Half Hollow Hills West Invitational is an annual tournament held at Half Hollow Hills West. It has been held since 1995. Originally held on house-written four quarter questions, the tournament used NAQT A set questions for the first time in 2010. The tournament regularly attracts dozens of teams from the Tri-State area and is often the largest one day tournament of the year-- in 2010, it attracted an impressive 90 teams. The format-- a four or five round prelim followed by a 32-team single elimination bracket-- has recently drawn some criticism for using what is considered a funn format in a time when many tournaments use round robin playoffs or n-elimination.
