Zhang, along with Anurag Kashyap, was a head honcho of the Rancho Bernardo High School quizbowl team.
Writing
Zhao, along with Anurag Kashyap and Kevin Gong, submitted a packet to Dwight Wynne's Zot Bowl. He also wrote for ACF Fall 2008 and for the No Name Tournament with Auroni Gupta and Anurag Kashyap.
Zhao edited the Science and Fine Arts for the 2009 Fall Novice Tournament.
