Unfortunately the cheating incident was uncovered just a month after 125 Harvard students cheated on a take home test in an introductory government class, and happened to coincide with Harvard's upset victory over New Mexico's basketball team in the NCAA tournament. The first report came from the Mahnattan based blog Gawker, and by the next day approximately twenty newspapers had written articles about the incident.
- "Epicenter of Evil"-the initial Gawker article [1]
- Harvard Crimson-feturing commentary (albeit very little) from Stephen Liu [2]
- Minneapolis Star-Tribune-featuring commentary from Andrew Hart and Mike Cheyne [3]
