Joe Su is a quizbowl player who would rather do stats and/or man the control room than play. Beginning with a fall novice mirror in 2010, Joe has done stats for countless high school and college tournaments in the Ontario region (directing quite a few of these), as well as all of Chicago Open Weekend 2013 and the 2014 NAQT MSNCT.

Joe took an extend break from playing seriously (though he still attended some tounaments and did poorly) between NSC 2011 and SCT 2014, to focus more on hosting tournaments.

However, Joe has played successfully in his sophmore year at McGill (2013-2014), including helping a DII McGill team to a Canadian SCT title (going undefeated in the process) and being on the 3rd place ICT DII McGill team, though he had more negs in the 2nd place v 3rd place game than in the entire afternoon. Joe played Reach for the Top for Lisgar and did reasonably well in his junior and senior years despite his hatred for the game. Joe is also the only three-time winner of the NAQT Ontario Provincial champion, having done so in 2010, 2011, and 2012.

Joe has also notably been the most prolific Canadian meta-quizbowl writer, contributing almost a whole pack of Toss-ups to the Canadian mirrors of Cane Ridge Revival and VETO in 2014.
