Reach for the Top
KVHS has had a string of successes in Reach for the Top. From 2004 to the present, the school has won at the provincial level, attending the national tournament each time. They did not participate in 2005 because of a work-to-rule teacher's strike in the province. At Nationals, they placed 5th in 2004 and 2006, and were runners-up to the 2007 London Central team in 2007. Morgan Gagnon was on the team for all four years, captaining in 2007. In 2008 Kennebecasis Valley High School once again qualified for Nationals under the captaincy of William Koncovy.
SmartAsk!
KVHS was also a strong team during the three seasons of SmartAsk! The 2002 Kennebecasis team won the inaugural event. The following season, a younger team reached the finals, losing to the 2003 Merivale team. In the final season, the team made it to the round of 8. Patrick Dunn (currently playing at Carleton University) was on the team for all three years, captaining in 2003 and 2004.
