Poland Seminary which, despite the name, is a public school, is located in Mahoning County, Ohio and southeast of the city of Youngstown. The town prides itself on being "Town One - Range One" of the Western Reserve. The quizbowl team has been coached by Julie Rineheart since 2003. She holds the distinction of having never lost a Mahoning County tournament match with her top team during her 5 tournaments in charge. She also took Poland to OAC State in 2004; this was the first appearance by a Mahoning County team at that tournament. Poland qualified to the 2007 HSNCT; although they did not attend that national tournament. However, they did attend in the 2008 HSNCT, and amassed a 3-7 preliminary record.
