SQBS allows team names and rosters to be imported (via the File menu's "Read Rosters" entry) so that they can be entered in a text editor, which some people find more comfortable than SQBS itself.
The format is documented in the SQBS help file, but people often don't think to look there, and since Windows Vista deprecated the .hlp
format it has become increasingly difficult to open that file. It is therefore documented here.
The roster file should be a plain text file with the following format:
- For each team, the following:
- A line for the team name
- If "Divisions" [pools] are used, a line for the Division name
- One line for each player (consisting of the player name)
- If the previous team was the last team, then
~
(a tilde), otherwise.
(a period).
