The Independence School is a K-8 nonsectarian private school in Newark, Delaware. It is currently coached by Tina Palmer. Independence has participated in every single MSNCT since the inaugural tournament in 2011, where it placed 10th out of 35 teams. At the 2012 MSNCT, its A Team placed 7th out of 72 and it tied for 19th at the 2014 MSNCT. Independence also won the 2014 Charter Challenge. Mohan Malhotra played for the school between 2010 and 2012.
