Fairview High School is a 9-12 public high school in rural Cullman County, Alabama. Fairview is coached by greenhorn Eric Vest. The quizbowl club president is Brett Hogan.
Fairview's first quiz bowl team was organized in 1981, and the team acquired a vast amount of titles and trophies at area community college tournaments throughout the 1990s.
Currently, Fairview is for the most part only active in the low-level Cullman County Scholar Bowl, but it has attended Snead State Scholars Bowl in 2008 and 2010.
However a six-year good quizbowl drought ensued until May 2016 when captain Brett Hogan convinced his coach and teammates to attend West Point Rainwater Invitational as well as to begin competing at numerous tournaments outside of the county circuit.
