Robert Muñiz (14, 8th grade) is currently a quiz bowl player for Midtown Classical, a homeschool collective in Tallahassee, Florida. Throughout the course of his four-year career, Robert has been named an All-Star at two straight MSNCTs, and was ninth in individual scoring after the preliminary rounds of the 2017 HSNCT while in 7th grade. As of 2/8/18, he has accumulated almost 23,000 points, 1050 powers, and 825 tossups in standard NAQT formats, and averages 92.5 points per game over 28 tournaments. Robert is also the winner of two straight National History Bees in the Elementary and 7th Grade divisions. He holds the records for most powers in an NAQT round with 17, and also the record for most points in a standard NAQT round, with 285. Robert is a generalist, but his favorite subjects include history, art, literature, and mythology.
