Rohan Hegde is a member of the Thomas Jefferson (VA) Quizbowl team. Hegde was runner-up at the JV division of the 2016 National History Bee. Hegde was the winner of the JV Division of the 2015 National History Bee Washington DC Regional. Hegde was also described as a "trash specialist" at the 2014 MSNCT and was part of TJ's 34th place winning team at the 2015 HSNCT. Hegde is currently TJ quizbowl's co-captain. After coming out of retirement towards the end of the 2017-2018 season, Hegde, was a major contributor on both the TJ Varsity History Bowl team and TJ's PACE NSC A team, both of which won national titles. These were the first national titles the TJ academic competition program had won in over a decade. In addition, Hegde was a member of TJ's HSNCT A team which, although forfeiting a match so as to allow for the players to catch a plane flight, still managed to finish fourth overall.
