Arin Parsa (6th, 2026) is an avid quiz bowl player. He is the founder and captain of the Challenger Almaden quiz bowl team in San Jose, California.
Arin holds the national title of 2019 IPNCT champion, and his best is 240 PPG against Bret Harte B in the MS-27 tournament in Northern California.
Notable Achievements
Arin made history with his performance at the 2018 MSNCT, in which he was the fourth overall scorer, a record for a fifth grader. He led his team to a T-13 finish, another record breaking performance for a team primarily comprised of middle schoolers younger than sixth grade. He won the 2018 Elementary History Bee. At the 2018 National Academic Bowl, he soloed his way to a third place finish and claimed sixth in the overall bee. At the 2018 International History Olympiad, Arin was third in the Scramble, which focused on the colonial history of Africa. At IHO, he led California B along with BASIS Silicon Valley's Sasha Prakir to a fourth place finish after a last-question loss to Karsten Rynearson and Team New Yeticut. He went on to dominate the Northern California Quiz Bowl circuit throughout sixth grade, setting the highest PPG record for a middle schooler in seventh grade or below. He won the 2019 IPNCT in the middle school division.
