David Thorsley is a former Canadian player. As a high school student at Saunders in London, Ontario, he won the 1992 and 1996 Reach for the Top championships. In 1998 he founded the Western Ontario Quiz Bowl Club, and after graduating in 1999 he played as a graduate student for Michigan, where he helped edit the MLK tournament.

He is married to Emily Moore, also formerly of Michigan, and currently teaches at the University of Washington.
