The 2001 National Scholastic Championship was won by State College, consisting of Susanna Burrowes, Martin Devecka, Julia Liu, and David Schloss. The tournament was held at Bowling Green State University (OH).

Tournament results

State College defeated Georgetown Day in the final, 255-230. Georgetown Day and State College defeated Detroit Country Day and Detroit Catholic Central in the semifinals, respectively.

The tournament used the old PACE NSC tournament format including an all-in consolation playoff.

Individual results

This was the first year in which individual stats were fully preserved from the NSC. The full statistical records were located in 2020 and are currently being processed into SQBS format for posting.

The tournament all-stars (selected by vote of participating teams and staffers) were Josh Crawford of Detroit Catholic Central, Martin Devecka of State College, Joe Galea of Detroit Catholic Central, Matt Lesser of Maret, Nate Meyvis of Detroit Country Day, Yogesh Raut of Team Illinois, Dan Suzman of Georgetown Day, and Art Vilassakdanont of Maggie Walker.
