This article could use some updating if anyone has the interest and knowledge. Robin no longer coaches at Cedar Shoals and has had many more positive contributions to quizbowl since the things described by the article (which is not to suggest that the issues mentioned here are wholly irrelevant). Added some more recent details. The UGA quizbowl article has some other details about the situation at UGA. There's more that could be said as well in terms of online interactions in the early 2000s such as this as well. I'll let others decide. -Chris C.

It's too bad the specific threads aren't archived, then we could really see some of his "positive contributions to quizbowl" such as founding a message board to discuss who "sucks cock" and "gets pounded in the ass," topics which he also freely discussed with area high school players.

I would say Robin's most lasting contribution to quizbowl is that his behavior and the complete lack of interest in it from the self-appointed "civility" and "misconduct" patrols constitute the ultimate exposure of the hollowness of those processes. Matt Weiner (talk) 20:32, 23 May 2021 (CDT)
