During the days of the National Tournament of Academic Excellence, Missouri often fielded a team coached by longtime North Kansas City coach Larry Allen.

NASAT
The Missouri Quizbowl Alliance has sponsored a team for NASAT every year since that tournament began in 2010.

B TeamHSAPQ has allowed states to bring multiple teams to NASAT since 2016. Missouri fielded its first B team in 2017.
C TeamMissouri fielded its first C team in 2019.
2020As the 2020 NASAT was cancelled due to COVID-19, MOQBA was unable to field any all-star teams. However, they did release a list of all-star players (not sorted into teams), as well as a list of honorable mentions [1].
