NCASA, also known as the North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities, is an organization that runs quiz bowl tournaments in the state of North Carolina.

Regionals

NCASA runs regional tournaments at both the high school and middle school levels. These tournaments normally have 6 or fewer games, although during the 2020-2021 season an online league with a greater number of games was run instead of the normal regional tournaments.

Mastermind

As of summer 2021, the NCASA website has announced that they will be presenting a televised quiz bowl tournament called Mastermind. It supposedly will air on NC Public Television, by which they likely mean PBS stations across NC. They will also be affiliated with a firm called CAM Productions. No evidence is currently known what the format of this will be or how it intends on competing with Brain Game. It seems likely that CAM Productions also produces Alabama Scholars Bowl, since both CAM and Alabama Scholars Bowl, which is hosted on an NAQT television set appear to be affiliated with somebody named Mike Ousley. Presumably, like all other NCASA events, it will be limited to members.
