The 2021-22 Elgin Academy Season is the 5th season of the school having an active quiz bowl program. It was considered the best scholastic bowl season in EA's school history. The team was crowned consolation champion at the IHSSBCA kickoff. EA also won the IHSSBCA Turnabout and became runner-up for Winnebago Invitational, finishing the regular season with a 24-4.
EA had a perfect season in Masonic Sectionals and States, winning every game to claim its first state title. It picked up six wins in NAQT State to medal in 3rd place for the small school division. Being the third seed in IHSA, EA lost to Latin School of Chicago in the regional final.
EA ended the season in 13th place with an 8-5 in the 2022 SSNCT, making the first playoff appearance in the national tournament.
