Elmwood High School is a rural public high school in Elmwood, Illinois located halfway between Peoria & Galesburg. It competes in Class A, the "small school" division, of the Illinois High School Association's State Championship series. Brimfield competes in the north division of the Prairieland Conference & Peoria Area League.

Elmwood is perhaps best known for hosting (responsible for providing scorekeepers and timers, as well as arranging for set up at the facility) the IHSA State Finals since 2018. The program assumed the duties from nearby Farmington and has carried on the role since the tournament's move to Heartland Community College in 2022.

Competitively, Elmwood has represented one of the stronger small schools in the Peoria-area for the last decade. Long overshadowed by nearby rivals Farmington & Brimfield, Elmwood broke through in 2006 to finish 4th in the single-class Masonic State Tournament behind ace, Alex Davis. In 2014, the Trojans bested defending State champions, Peoria Christian, to advance to the IHSA State Finals for the first time in program history. The expansion of the Masonic State Series to three-classes has furthur sustained the program's success seeing the team regularly finish as a finalist in its Sectional with several trips to State.
